EPCIC of 1.2MMBPD LACT Unit for OML 42

Project Info

Client – Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).

Location

Status – Ongoing

Date –  February, 2021

OML 42 is a swamp oil block located in the western Niger Delta of Nigeria; jointly managed and operated by NPDC and NECONDE.

The asset produces an average of 50,000 BOPD from 5 fields. Production from OML 42 is evacuated via barges and stored on a Floating Storage Tanker – (FSO Ugo Ocha) for offtake. Custody transfer onboard FSO Ugo Ocha had hitherto been by means of ullage measurements, which are prone to errors.

In February 2021, INFIL was contracted by NPDC to undertake engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a stock 1.2MMBPD Leased Automatic Custody Transfer Unit onboard FSO Ugo Ocha to aid accurate custody transfer measurements for OML 42. INFIL Petroleum is pleased to be working with Emerson Process Solutions USA on this project and plans to complete delivery and installation of the stock (new) 1.2MMBPD LACT unit in 22 weeks.
